Another military themed movie, made during the 2nd World War, so it's a little on the "gung ho" side. This is a little different from the other copy that is available, here. The opening title music has been restored and the hiss, pop, crackle has been cleaned from the audio. There are a lot of familiar faces, including Robert Lowery, who would later play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the "Batman and Robin" serial (1949).

Weird, funny, brutal, and twisted, three children of the Merrye family live under the care and protection of their chauffeur, Bruno, played by Lon Chaney, Jr. The "children" are afflicted with "Merrye" syndrome, a form of dementia caused by inbreeding. It's a "made for drive-in's" kind of movie, that will have you laughing and saying, "ooh, gross," at the same time. The music is perfectly tacky and well suited for this film. Written and Directed by Jack...

Frank Sinatra, Sterling Hayden, and James Gleason star in this story about a plot to assassinate the President of the United States. Good drama, well acted... Spoiler alert: the good guys win, and the bad guys lose. The video is pretty sharp; and I cleaned up the audio. Good show. Written by Richard Sale; and directed by Lewis Allen.

Lots of biplane action and mystery. A mysterious black biplane, with a large X painted on the fuselage and wings, is shooting other planes out of the American skies. The best fighter pilots from all over the world are invited to a mansion, brought together to team up, locate, and shoot down Pilot X. Pretty quickly, they realize that Pilot X is one of the team members; but which one? I downloaded the source file, from this site; cleaned the pop and hiss out of the audio, and here's the new...

Perennial bad guy, Lionel Atwill stars in this mystery, involving murder, a frame up, secret passageways, and a twin brother. I downloaded the source for this movie, from archive.org; and cleaned up the audio a bit.

The Shadow Strikes * 1937 This is Lamont Cranston, aka The Shadow. It stars Rod La Rocque and Agnes Anderson. Margo Lane is absent; and the Shadow character lacks the supernatural ability that makes him fun; but it's not a bad whodunnit. There are some funny bits, and some people think of it as a comedy. More information can be found on IMDB The source for this upload can be found elsewhere on archive.org. I cleaned up the audio and decided to share it back to this site.

When a wealthy man is murdered at a costume party, each of the guests must be considered a suspect. Naturally, one of the guests is a mystery writer, and all of the other guests have what the police call "motive." The premise wasn't as tired, back in 1934, when this was made. This copy has improved audio, compared to other copies I have found. I cleaned it up a little bit.

A newspaper reporter, with a desparate need for $5,000, borrows the money from a "shady character." Years later the reporter is charged with a murder he did not commit. Spoiler alert, the truth comes out in the end, the bad guy gets what's coming to him, and the good guy has a bright future. There's a little drama along the way, but there's no treasure map. I found this on this website; with most of the opening credits missing, and too much hiss and crackle in the audio. I used a shot...

This film has Lamont Cranston, aka The Shadow, and was the only one that showed him with the power to cloud men's minds, to make himself unseen. It has the look of a TV show, and is reported to have been conceived as a series pilot. The makers decided to release it as a movie, to be shown in theaters, instead. None of the characters from the radio show, other than Lamont Cranston, appear in this story. It's most fun when he uses his mind clouding ability to vanish.

This is a fun adventure movie.  Airplanes, bandits, pretty girl, comical sidekick...  The copyright owner failed to renew, and it's been pretty widely copied and republished.  This copy is a re-edit of one that I found on this site.  I removed some damaged frames, cleaned up the audio, and replaced the crummy title cards (Alpha Video) with something that is a better match (better, not great).  Eva Gabor is in her prime and very easy to watch. This is not great cinema.  The action takes...

Sally Rand stars as a nightclub performer whose police detective father is murdered. She determines to use her wiles to identify the killer, and see him brought to justice. The source for this upload can be found elsewhere on archive.org. There was a lot of noise, which made it almost intolerable to watch. I cleaned up the audio and decided to share it back to this site. The audio portion of Sally Rand's bubble dance was too poor to be recovered. It was a medley, beginning with a portion of...

This is Lamont Cranston, aka The Shadow; and he knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men. This is a GOOD Shadow movie; although he doesn't seem to have the power to "cloud mens' minds." The print is in good shape. It stars Kane Richmond and Barbara Read. More information can be found on IMDB The source for this upload can be found elsewhere on archive.org. I cleaned up the audio and decided to share it back to this site.

The Shadow - 1933.  This is not the shadow that "knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men;" this shadow is a blackmailer, and the bad guy. It stars Henry Kendall, Elizabeth Allan, and Felix Aylmer.  More information can be found on the IMDB website, if you're into all that.  As for me, I just like watching old movies! The source for this upload can be found elsewhere on archive.org.  I cleaned up the audio and decided to share it back to this site.

Lloyd Bridges stars as secret agent X-9, in this series that is based on a comic strip. Released in 1945, the action takes place in 1943, during WWII. There's no real secret to this agent, everyone on Shadow Island calls him "X-9," and knows he is an agent for the United States. Shadow Island is neutral, and the Japanese agents are also known. There is one person that is truly undercover, and another that is kept a secret, until the final chapter. X-9 wants whatever the Japanese are...

This is the same movie serial, posted elsewhere on this sight. I cleaned up the audio and corrected the synchronization, as needed. This is also my first contribution to this website. I hope that some of the folks who were disappointed with the quality of earlier versions will find their way to these and enjoy them.
